Training

For many years the Arise Programme included in person training for 3-4 days and then a week of practical outreach and evangelism with a hosting church. In order to maximize engagement in practical evangelism we have gone online with the training and ask teams or individuals who have signed up to the Arise week to go through this training prior to arriving. We will then go through some key fundamentals as a way of refreshing at the Orientation days.

The training videos we would like people to watch before coming are:

Before you watch any of them please take a look at this introductory video from Stephen.

We also have some optional sessions available including sharing Jesus with other cultures. (Please note that these evangelism training videos were produced during the COVID lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. Online sessions took place on Zoom and the main presentation was recorded and uploaded. With some of the videos the Q&A time at the end of the presentation is also included. We hope that you find them helpful and inspiring.)

Outreach with Hosting Churches

A team of around 8 people will be sent to a hosting church to support the evangelistic initiatives of that church. The leaders of the hosting churches would plan the outreach in their own communities.

The Arise teams will provide them with willing and proactive evangelistic support. So together with the members of the hosting churches the Arise teams will sow the seed of the Gospel and get involved in the spiritual harvest.

Any contacts from the outreach are given to the hosting churches for their follow-up.

Report & Celebration

The teams will come back to the training camp on the afternoon of the final day for report and celebration.
